Consul-Source is a Québec leadership consultancy founded in 1982. We work with senior executives, directors, and decision-makers — quietly, durably, and one organization at a time.

ORIGIN

A practice, not a product.

  • 1982Pierre-Marc Meunier founds Consul-Source and articulates the first version of the 3A method.
  • 1990sThe firm grows into mid-sized Québec organizations and adds long-form coaching.
  • 2000sThe 3A profile assessment is formalized and adopted by executive teams across Canada.
  • 2010sCPMT recognition for training tax credits; publication of seven books.
  • 2024Six books published, hundreds of leaders accompanied, the methodology refined for a new generation.

Consul-Source has never tried to be a large firm. From the beginning, the choice was the opposite — to remain small enough to know every client by name, and stable enough to be there when the next chapter begins.

The work has always been with people who carry weight: founders, executives, directors, public-sector leaders. The 3A method was not designed in a classroom; it was refined in the room, across forty years of difficult conversations.

Most of our work never makes the news. That is the point. The leaders we accompany trust us with what they cannot say in public yet, and that trust is the contract.

We have watched forty years of leadership trends come and go. The 3A method has remained because it is built on what changes slowly — human judgment under pressure, not the language of the season.

We will not scale past the size at which the founder can know every client. Growth is not the goal. Depth is.
